Santa delivered an early Christmas present to Aspen Snowmass Monday, as more than a foot of snow fell in the last 24 hours.
According to Ski Company officials, “The surrounding area was in the sweet spot of a recent storm which set in early yesterday and has continued to drop snow through this morning.
“In the past 9 days, the four mountains of Aspen Snowmass – Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk– have seen up to 42 inches. And in even better news, the storm is expected to continue, promising more powder on the horizon.”
According to Opensnow.com, another storm is headed into the state Thursday and Friday this week, followed by yet another storm on Sunday and Monday, Dec. 28-29.
