Barstools and Dreamers: Widespread Panic in Aspen
There is Panic on the streets of Aspen.
Widespread Panic rolled into town Friday for three nights of stripped-down musical merrymaking at Belly Up, an intimate and world-class venue just steps from Aspen Mountain.
The trailblazing band just finished its 25th anniversary tour, which it capped off with an epic four-day affair in Mexico.
This weekend's shows will be their last before an extended hiatus of unknown length. It is part of the band's so-called Wood Tour. Even though this is Widespread first-ever all-acoustic tour, the guys still jam and the cozy confines of Belly Up are sure to be hopping mad.
Although general admission tickets were selling for $350 face value, they sold out in minutes. Fans lined up outside of the Belly Up the day before to get a shot at admission.
